Five hours to judge 200 quilts -
great team of three judges from Cumberland County.

That was Day One.

Day 2

Preview Dinner and Auction, April 1 – 145 people attended
raising $5,000 with the sponsored dinner and the auction.
90% of County elected officials, and 60% of Algood
City elected officials attending along with volunteers,
75% of our sponsors, and people who love the quilt festival.

The Exemplary Service Award was presented to Claude Ann
Burton for a life of community service and eighteen years
of supporting the quilt festival. Here she is shown with her
two daughters and four granddaughters.

2025 Best of Show

2025 The Quilt Board's Best of Show

The Show Stopper and the Quilt Board’s Best of Show Choice stopped folks in their tracks as they entered the 931 Building which featured 14 of the Board’s Favorite Anne Barrett Quilts & overflow of 74 quilts from the main show.

Mayor Randy Porter, Putnam County Mayor pays a second visit to the 35th Upper Cumberland Quilt Festival. Here he is welcomed back by Roger Williams, Algood City Councilman, and Gwen Ray, Festival Volunteer.

Anne Barrett, Grove Oak, AL, honored us with a third year of providing a wonderful bed turning demonstration four times during the festival. Over 250 people attended her sessions.

Melinda Bilbrey’s Memory was honored and celebrated this year.

A special table with posters and one of Melinda’s quilts was set up at each venue to highlight her special exhibition. In addition, her quilts were display at the Methodist Church and Signature HealthCARE of Putnam County.

Algood Methodist Church featured antique quilts on the right, and quilts of Melinda Bilbrey on the left. Over 70 quilts were featured at this location.

Carolyn Fox, volunteer, welcomed our guests – over 100 volunteers support our festival.

The Historic White Plains House again provided a wonderful display of quilts – Special Exhibition by Brenda Curtis, Aunt Bea’s Farmhouse Quilt Shop in Granville, TN was featured at White Plains House.

Susan Richardson again provided a wonderful live demonstration of Spinning and Weaving at White Plains House.

Fifteen Vendors –
the most in recent memory offered quilting and sewing supplies, as well as other things our guests might want or need.

All this is possible because of the Upper Cumberland Quilt Festival Board celebrating the 35th Festival, the longest running, and largest quilt show in the state, exists.
