The board members for the Upper Cumberland Quilt Festival put their talents together to plan each year's event, starting over a year before each festival. The many hours of volunteer time and their dedication to this fund raiser for the Algood Senior Center are invaluable.
Nancy Pardue
Meet one of our long-time board members, Nancy Pardue. If it involves handwork you will probably find Nancy in the middle of it; this includes hand quilting, needlework, and her business of designing and making custom draperies. Nancy's creativeness in her needlework and quilting designs has won her many awards and recognition. She is active in the community and her knowledge, skill, and willingness to serve make her a valued board member.
Exciting plans are underway for the 24th Upper Cumberland Quilt Festival and you should plan now to join us for this exciting event.

This year's Barn Quilt Tour will also feature a couple of log cabins, homes, and beautiful gardens along with perhaps a dozen quilt squares painted on barns and historic buildings.

Spend an exciting day with us. We will begin with a tour of Barbara Tolleson's home and log house where you will see how a historic home has been updated for modern use. The log house next door will be filled with Barbara's quilts. Then we will travel down the road to the Cherry Creek Furniture Shop for refreshments and to see bountiful gardens and more quilts on display. Next, we will stop at the home of Myrna Estes to see quilts displayed in her log cabin. The fill day's activity will also include shopping, lunch, and stops to see close to a dozen quilt squares painted on barns and historic buildings.
